    Okay, thanks. I use a leak tester and spray soapy water on the possible leak areas. The spark is light blue, I have a cheap air filter on it may be suffocating the engine.

    Very poor power in low gear

    I rode it earlier and it just has power loss in general in every gear, it is just easier to tell when in low gear. My jetting is all stock but I have a 250 main jet sitting around.

    Oh yeah and there is a bit of a knocking noise in the engine too. So it would probably be bad piston rings… right lol. I did have a major air leak and was riding it for a couple days until I relised something was wrong. So that could have also caused engine damage.

    Welp, i found another air leak on the plate that connects to the end of the exhaust, not sure If I could seal it with yamabound 4. Or should I have to replace the gasket?

    So I just bought a new carb boot manifold that goes on the Reed gasket. It’s not stock, and it has a hole on the top part that extends out (it’s soposed to be there) and I do a leak test and the air just pours out of the hole. I don’t know if I’m soposed to do something with it or if it works...

    Do u think the reed cage could also be bad from over tightening. I had the same issue and I think both reed cage and boot is bent.

    Either that or I have a lot of resistance from crap in the engine and it just really needs a top end rebuild.

    Yeah I have a pretty good amount of resistance when kicking it. I tried using my stock carb and it was olmost impossible to kick. It’s like it’s not able to let out the air or something. After replacing every part on my stock carb it still didn’t work my guess is the float level is all jacked...

    If I don’t have a compression tester can’t I get in the ball park of the amount of compression by how hard it is to kick?

    I meant 230 mm lol. I changed my spark plug to br8es because it’s easy to get, but it still has like no power so I might get a rebuild kit. After seeing if the air leek from the Reed cage gasket being fixed will help it.

    Yeah I checked the jet on it and it says it’s 135 mm main jet which is probably perfect cause I only have an aftermarket air filter. I think I need a top end rebuild cause it has like half as much power as usual. And a top end rebuild hasn’t been done on the blaster EVER lol.

    Well this was totally unexpected, but the 4 wheeler is running and idling perfect with the Chinese carb on it. I didn’t even change the jets in it. It will likely be my temporary carb until I get a rebuild kit. The only issue now is that it’s burning a lot of oil.
