just fyi Before you buy an aftermarket exhuast you want to take into consideration what riding style you have and what kind of terrain you ride mostley. Also what future plans do you have for this bike. These all play big rolls in what exhaust system you will want to run.

if at all possible measure the clearance between the piston and the wall if any. If the compression is really low then I would bore/hone it to the next size up.

Not a must have. The best way to start your build is to figure out what you are going to have done as far as internall engine work. Then you will know what pipe will fit well carbs, ect. Pipes will show you an improvemnet over stock yes but may not be the pipe you will want after porting, Carb...

Starters it will make things a lot easier to just eliminate the oil and mix your fuel and oil to ride. The seals are most likley bad thats whats causing the leak, but stranger things have happend is it leaking tranny fluid or oil?
