my clutch isn't the problem its kicking the gear lever up and down. could this be that my bike just needs a oil change

I am finding it hard to gear up and down on my blaster as the gears are not smooth. It now requires more force to change gears on my blaster when compared to my friends blasters. What could i do to make my gears smooth again, back to the point were i can effortlesly change gears.
