Check that your float is not stick and make sure the bottom of your carb is sealing correctly. You may have dirtr/grit in you float plunger, which will not allow it to fully close.

Can two different cases be matched? I have a small crack on the bottom of the right side case, it's located on the bottom where the two halves meet. The piece in question is the case piece which holds the trans oil drain plug. Thanks
