I was wondering if anyone knew the mathematical equasion to figure out the size of an engine?

i finally measured my piston, and as i thought, 68mm(the guy i bought it from said it was a 240). So i decided to make it bigger. I want to get a 72.5 mm big bore piston and i was wondering if a +4mm stroker would b compatiable. Are they generally universal(piston and crankshaft)?

i was lookin on ebay at a few things and i was wonderin what the size of a stock carb is? Does a bigger size mean itll go faster or do i need a race specific carb to make it go faster? what would be reccomended for the best accelleration in lower gears?
