    Racing question :)

Haha ya, I about forgot about a camelbak. I messed up and ran my very first race w/o one and I almost monkeyed out there! THe control setup is prolly as important as suspension to me, especially the thumb throttle. You can try using a 400ex, 450r or even trx90 thumb throttle to make it a lil...

    Racing question :)

Thats right! lol. The way I see it, both types of racing requires skill, but not the same kind of skill.. B) Blasterkid, you could prolly run yours in Xc. The average width of most of the rides are around 46-48".

    Racing question :)

For the bike I'd focus on mainly suspension, the smoother you can ride the faster you can ride.;) . You might wanna add a lil width also. I thought the stock width would've been better thru the trees, well it was, but I couldnt charge corners like I wanted to and ended up bicycling around most...

    gncc racing

It should work on the blaster then b/c the dual gasser I had was for both 400ex's and 450r's. The ends of the throttle cable's are identical where it connects to the thumb throttle assy. $125 is steep for that tho, I thought they went for like 70 or 80 something. I might even try going with a...

Ok i just tried the 400ex throttle and it fits right up to the stock throttle cable. The ergonomics seem a lil bit better than the stock throttle but there aint really anyway to tell until I go out ridin. I'll keep yall posted on it!

Im good with the thumb throttle too, Im just real picky i guess. I had a dual gasser on my 400ex i raced last year but it still wasnt enough. I wound up heating up the thumb lever on it and bending it so it wasnt at as much of an angle and closer to the grip. After that I never had another prob...

    gncc racing

Well the Blaster ran its first race and did great at the start against a field of mainly 450's. But the thumb throttle started killing my thumb to the point where I was almost a rolling road block after only the 1st lap.lol. Is there any other thumb throttle i can use like a dual gasser or maybe...

    gncc racing

Cool. I got a banshee axle on the way. Now I gotta see what Im gonna do for the front. I wish I could find me some good +2 a arms for pretty cheap. lol. Also, the front drum brakes. Has anybody raced with those and have them fade after a while? Im wanting to go to hydraulic but i dont know if...

Very true! I'd hate to run a whole xc race with the stock shocks. Thats why Im waiting on the other ones to come in before I even think about doin a race. lol. Quick question from me tho.... On a stock width blaster but with some goood shocks, like works piggyback rear and works piggyback fronts...

Hey man if you're looking into some GNCC style racing around GA and Ten you should look into the Sorcs series too.

XC or Hare scramble racing setups

Yep especially the rears. I had a set of klaws on my old 400ex and the 20 in rears looked bigger than the 21 in fronts.

    cross country tips anyone....?

^^^ True.. I noticed that with a lot of people I get behind, they are either WOT or stabbing the brakes right at a turn and not gaining any ground from me.. Riding that way will only tire you out quicker and make you inconsistent.. Try to hold back and ride at about 75%-80% of your ability...

    cross country tips anyone....?

I wouldn't really call it bump-steer either.. IMO wider offset rims will give more feedback thru the bars. For example, you hit a root and the bars try to snatch out your hand.. That force would be greater with the flipped rims or spacers... A steering stabilizer would probably offset it tho...

    Ct Pipe

I just put the pipe on earlier today and man it's is awesome! Its got a lot more of a mid range hit than the DG and will rev out further than the DG will ever hope to.. I did a plug check with that 340 and its now a dark brown, still a lil rich tho but better than being too lean. It also smells...
