    Just disconnect the battery, I have my quad wired to ground off the engine/frame and usually disconnect that before welding.

    The hassle of tearing the engine apart, to do all four, id rather not! And its not the lightest engine in the world.

    Thanks man. Everything on the engine seems to be fine, might be a valve not seating on the 1st cylinder, but that's nothing major easy job, once its not the rings im happy.

    Got this engine yesterday out of a Yamaha Diversion 600cc (xj600). Should be a good project whatever I decide to do with it.

    A weak spark will be an orange or yellow colour, a blue is a good spark. I though mine looked weak aswell but its perfect.
