    Banshee price range

Yeah I'm hoping it will turn out ok, but I'm crossing my fingers that the bottom end still has some life in it. Anyway, I plan on pulling the cylinders off, but does anyone have experience installing a helicoil or time sert with the cylinder still on the bike? I'm going to pull it off anyway...

Pics are too big apparently. I'm sure you are referring to a timecert. $2,500 is what I paid.

Sorry, got side tracked with other stuff. We came to an agreement and I ended up buying it from the guy. Compression was 125 in the left cylinder and 135-140 in the right cylinder. It ran (running off of coolant/gas), shifts, and drives. I ended up taking the head off and immediately found...

Thanks for the reply. Nah I'm not in a big hurry trying to find one right now, just saw this one and it's local so I wanted to see it. And yeah, I'm a big fan of compression testing anything prior to coming to a decision.

Blaster Boggs when throttle is touched

Here's my little story, hopefully helpful. I had the exact same problems and pulled the reeds, carb, looked at electrical. I was baffled, I know my way around engines for the most part and it had everything, spark fuel etc. It would start, idle fine but bog and never get above a certain RPM...

    Banshee price range

I know there are probably alot of threads regarding this topic, but since the market changes with time, I thought I'd ask around on here. I know this isn't the Banshee forum, but I'm sure alot of you guys/gals own or have had experience with Banshees. I'm looking at a 1996 Yamaha Banshee...

    Question about crankcase

This may be a long shot, but do you know what size/thread pitch they are? All I can find are the part numbers.

    Question about crankcase

I wish. Now I'm almost done with the oil pump delete. The prior owner(s) pulled the oil jug and plugged the oil lines but left the oil pump assembly intact. On a side note, while checking for leaks, I found what appeared to be missing nuts on the right side near the brake rotor. Maybe...

    Question about crankcase

Sorry, been busy. I replaced the gasket with an OEM and used Quik Steel to fill the cutout and the crack. Worked like a charm. No hydros yet.

    Question about crankcase

Correct, its the one on the top. I'm clear that it takes a rubber grommet, however the case is chipped to the right of it. I can either repair the chip or seal up the chip and the cutout that the grommet covers. But, I don't want to do that if it serves some kind of purpose, which I don't...

    Question about crankcase

2002 Blaster-Stock I have a question about the crank case cutout on the stator side (at the top) which is covered by a rubber grommet. After going through the bike, it appears that some jack-wagon put some sort of a pry bar down it to get the stator off. Anyway, while doing this they...
