Long before most of you were in diapers cylinders and fins larger than a little blaster didn't have rubber dampeners and never cracked fins.

Wrong again there Einstein. I've ported close to 200 Blaster cylinders with the same drill bit, drill, jig, pins and clamps. Common sense ( obviously in short supply in the wood shed) would tell you that if it happened once, it would have happened again. It hasn't. The ear broke off due to bad dowel pins and an improper assembly / disassembly. That engine ran fine until the customer pulled it apart and jacked the cylinder. It happens to stock cylinders as well. And what the fug is a "poison port"?
The rubber slugs are vibration dampeners. They support the fins and reduce noise. They aren't regulated or required by the EPA, OSHA, FEMA or TGIF. You know Larry, you don't have to answer questions when you don't have a clue what you're talking about. It kind of makes you look foolish.
Isn't it ironic that now YOU wear diapers Larry. Oops, someone needs a sponge bath.
Some of the vintage trials bikes that i have seen from the 60's and 70's had rubber dampeners! They were 125cc up to 350cc, if i remember right! I have also seen cracked fins in some motors that had no dampeners, BUT if your trials riding there is a good chance you could drop your bike on a ROCK.
I was not in diapers until 1976, and i have seen a lot of bikes older then me with dampeners.
CB 160, CL250, CL 305, 68 (?) Yamaha Big Bear, 69(?) Kawi F-4 72 YZ250, 72 RM 250, 73 Kawasaki Green Streak, 250 Harley Sprint, 73 Carabella 250, 74 Husky 250, 74 TM 250, T-500, XS 650. All bikes that I have owned, or were owned by friends and I rode, and my 72 Elsinore 250 that I bought new, and still have, and none of them had rubber dampeners.
That was the point I was making is that not all air cooled motorcycles have had dampeners. Are they necessary on a Blaster? Doesn't matter to me. JMHO. Undampened fins ring like a tuning fork. Factory sound supression carried on into the chamber of both the Blaster and Banshee, that's why they have the fatter sections. That's also why the use helical cut gears.
As to the "Poison port", that was a play on words dum dum. poison- Boysen, get it? And you're right, I didn't know what I was talking about, or had a clue who or what Quadman 1 was refering to. You must be paranoid or have some other mental affliction.
As to me in diapers? Na, not yet. And when that time comes I plan to jump my Elsinore over the Grand Canyon.
On second thought, I'll do a Blaster, they aren't worth much.
Ya know Kenny boy, I hope the way you jump some peoples case (such as Joeak47 recently, and me) impresses potential customers enough that they consider alternatives. Real class act for a "supposed" businessman.

Where is it written that I can't own a business and annoy people? It's been working great for years. My job is simple and I'm very good at it. Build world class engines, get paid, and ship to the customer. As long as I keep doing those three things well, no one cares how I get my jolly's. Anyone that say's "I was going to send it to KOR but Ken is mean to some people" is not a potential customer or anyone I wish to deal with.
Customers can consider, and send work anywhere they want. We've all seen how that can end up. I'm pretty much a sure bet with boatloads of positive testimonials, a solid world wide customer base, and decades of experience with anything that has wheels or wings, I'm not paranoid but thanks for caring. Continue to post bad advice and I'll continue to call you out on it.

I mention the FACT that when someone has a problem with they're engine do too poor maintenance, or just not knowing what they're talking about, "They" always say to put a wiseco piston in it, remove the oil injection, remove the tors system, or put a bigger carb on it to cure the problem. Those people ARE RETARDS!!!
Here are some examples.....
Blaster been sitting for a year and a half and has old varnished fuel in the tank?... "Put a bigger carb on it and remove the air box lid"...that's your problem!
"Your blaster smeared the bore with its wiseco piston?" "Well...it that sh*tty oil injection system.... Just rip it off of there, slap a new piston in it, and whatever you do DON'T warm up your bike before riding, and you'll be fine!"
"Your blaster won't start because fuel is pouring out the carb over flow tubes?" "That's easy dude... its NOT a fouled spark plug or stuck floats man... the carbs way too small!"
"Who said you can't run a two stroke engine with an oil to fuel ratio of 187:1 ...Amsoil is the sh*t!......I do it all the time!....I rebuild my blaster engine every 3 days wether it needs it or not!...trust me its the tors system and the grips your using"
Most of the "Retards" don't own a torque wrench, cylinder bore gauge, honing equipment, micrometers, etc , let alone know how to use them. However, they love to turn they're opinions into factual statements to point people in the "right direction". RETARDS!
