shifting??????

haha awk08 you got a point dont forget these ones do stoppies and spin cookies but anyways pretty much everything we do when we ride says we shouldn't do that in the manualI:I

the only thing your probably going to cause wear on is the shift forks being ran through the shift cam under load ,thats usually the thing that goes when the override tranny is improperly used ..blasters have tough lower ends you should be fine to shift with no clutch as long as your doing it in a leisurley manner and letting off .. not blatantly abusing the machine at wide open throttle reefing on it all the time

amen ruthless, im gonna copy that answer, in case you get tired of chiming in on this every 2 weeks, haha
and for "what it says in the manual", haha, i wonder if it says to pull wheelies, burn tire, climb hills, jump, ride 2 people, add aftermarket parts, flip front wheels, etc. etc. etc.....

hahahahhahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yea i on do it in my back yard while cruising when i get on it i use the cluch most of the time

hahaha ya i was about to comment on the whole manual thing... i always laugh when i look on my front fender and see the sticker with those three important rules...cuz im breaking all three on weekends usually..

dude blaster01 a override transmission is used when drag racing it allows one to shift WOT with a clutch. It making shifting faster and easier and even shaves a few tenths of a second on a pass. If you hual ass and shift without the clutch it will stress the engine. We recently purchased a rappy and in the manual it says ALWAYS use the clutch each time when shifting! WHO is a f*cking newb now dumbass?

YOUR STILL THE NEWB8-|

cluthing is an easy thing to do. why take the risk
Sometimes your too busy holding on for dear life:D

plus over the long run one could argue that it produces less wear on the clutch, how much less is probably insignificant. For me it is really just a personal preference thing. I made the mistake of buying shorty levers with bad leverage geometry, which makes my clutch harder than normal to pull so much so that it gives my hand cramps sometimes.

so ruthless if i make 1600 useless post in a day and pay $10 and jim passion joins 2mro and decides not to pay $10 does that mean i know more than him? no f*cking way. I'm not saying that blaster01 just makes useless posts but for him (or anyone else) to think hes smarter than me because hes been here longer makes him a seem like a jackass.

its all been said before. constant mesh transmission, no physical way to actually grind a gear, clutch not needed. some reccomend it, some see it as the "devil's lever." no matter what forum im on, dirtbikes, quads, cars, even the little electric shopping carts at the grocery store (KIDDING!) this thread always comes up. just do what you like best, there wont be a gigantic difference either way IMHO.

it was put there to use the dam thing if you don't clutch between gears your are bound to put wear on the gears.

do a test

drain your oil and put new oil, go ridding for a day while useing the clutch all day betweenn gears and drain the oil put it in a clear container.

put new oil and go ridding the next day while not using the clutch, drain the oil and compare the two containers i will promise you the one that looks like silver metalic paint is the one you did not use the cluch on.

this is JMO.
