I replaced the crank seals and its top has been rebuilt. Sadly it is still smoking. I am about to try some 80-90 gear oil because I am hoping it will be to thick to leak through into the top end. Any suggestions on what I should do?

what color is the smoke?? Blasters and all 2 strokes will smoke out of the exhaust. If it is a blueish gray smoke and there isnt alot of it(just enough to see and smell it) then that is normal. Full blown thick white smoke is gear oil burning which means your crank seals are shot or not installed right.

I repalced the crank seals , and I'm pretty sure they are in right. I put them in the right way . Im thinking its an old bike, and like an old car it needs thicker oil? I am buying the parts to make a leak down tester.

you need to not do anything else with your bike untill you have done a leakdown test. find out the results and go from there.
