FORT ASHBY, W.Va. — Forty-seven-year-old David A. Wolford was fatally injured in a single-vehicle accident late Thursday on Dan’s Run Road.
West Virginia State Police Trooper S.A. Nazelrod at Keyser reported Wolford was partially ejected from his vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene following the 11:40 p.m. crash.
Police said Wolford was operating a Ford Bronco II and not wearing a seatbelt when his vehicle traveled out of control and struck an embankment.
Fort Ashby Volunteer Fire Company, Short Gap Ambulance and Maryland State Police Medevac helicopter also responded to the scene.
