Yupp. Expansive hobby... One read on y I'm getting out of it. The motor, esc, and batts alone cost about 400.

I had a Traxxas T Maxx, I put about $1400.00 into it over the years. It's expensive if you make it. But I couldn't get close to what I put into when I sold it. Good luck!
