top end rebuild :-/

Buy a compression tester from like napa or somewhere and screw it into the spark plug hole. Then get on the bike hold the throttle wide open and kick until the gauge stops going up. Anything above 110 is okay 100 or below should be rebuilt

Get a compression tester at local auto parts store or Harbor frieght, unscrew spark plug, screw tester with 14mm adapter in the sparkplug hole, hold the throttle wide open, Kick your balls off till the needle stop moving up. come back with what the reading is. Should be over 110psi stock I believe.

what they said. my compression was fine, but i decided to tear down, send my top end to ken o connor and then im going to put in a new piston, rings, and cometic gaskets to be on the safe side.
