regearing?

jsut wondering if the stock gearing is 13/40 and how much more top speed would 14/40 gearing get me? Also, do you need a different chain? Thanks

Chain works from 12 tooth front all the way to a 15 tooth front. I have a 12 a 14 and a 15. I have plenty of slack with the 12 in fact my adjusters are 1 turn out from all the way in and I have proper chan slack on a stock swing arm. also your chain should be a 92 link chain if this is not correct you may not be able to get the larger front on, but most likely you will have no problems.
Also I never had a person with a speedo next to me with the 14 on yet and I'm currently running a 12 up front my advice is to never buy a 12 unless you do a lot of gear changng lik riding more technical trails. I will swap out the 12 and see if I can get somene to clock me.... hopefullt not a pig. and then Ill let you know

You will get a few mph gain, not huge but noticeable.
