Rear axle question with pictures

I have 3 different axles, as shown in the picture. I got them all in a parts box. If I am going to have hydro brakes in the back, does it matter which axle I choose to use?

Two of the axles are the same style one is different.

The bottom one in the picture has different design. The hub splines are slightly different, and the shape of the shaft is different it can only be slid into the axle housing one way.

Did they redesign the axles on the 03-06 blaster?

Yes they did.

Awks hydro brakes are made for the old style, so i suggest the older axle

use the one that is toward the top... thats the older one.

I liked the shape of the 03 axle better as the disk brake slides up against the stopper on the axle, plus the carrier and the hydro's are off an 03 while the rest of the rebuild is an 01.

But I will defer to the judgement of the forum and use the 01 axle, as safety is key.

If you have the 03 carrier, axle and caliper, use the newer style with those 03 hydros I:I I:I
