hello again.
I tell you the problem I have with the carburetor of my blaster.
the changes that I have made are:
big-bore 240cc engine
-Exhaust: FMF Power Core 2 (empty)
hot-rots-crankshaft
-Carburetor: pj 34 keihim
-pyramid: pyramid duncan
air-filter: green with prefilter sleeve

The problem I have is that in 1st 2nd and 3rd works great. 4th but if you will not drown and high speed does not work well.

I could give some settings for bearings:

circle at a height of between 200 and 1000 meters above sea level.

thank you very much hope your answers.

regards

u need to rejet and plug chop to get the right jetting. on one can tell you what jet to use. plug chops will only tell you that. we can give u a range of jets to use, but thats no garentee.

That's what I mean I companion.
a rough guide and then I try to fit my needs better.
if I remember correctly I'm using a low of 55 jet and jet high I think is a 165-170. carburetor needle in its lowest position.

thanks for replying

sorry for my English.

what I mean is that.
would be helpful to approximate carburization.
with that carburation you provide me till I would go trying to find the correct carburation.

I have currently installed:
slow pilot jet: 55
Main jet: 175
needle jet: in its highest slot

like i said maybe someone will pop on to help you. im not goo with jetting for non stock carbs

well my 20 over bore is running a 2oo something main i believe, but yours is a 240 vito so ill be off from yours

not sure if a higher number is a bigger jet, or if a higher number is a smaller jet

ok thank you very much.
I start to try to put a smaller jet be slow if performance improves.

I could provide the steps to follow to get a good carburation.
thank you very much

i run a 34mm PJ carb.
the secret to making them work correctly is changing the needle to a "dgh" or "cel" needle
if this was a used carb, or even new, it was probably jetted for the trx250r it originates from, and that jetting is too rich for our blasters, especially the needle, even with the 240 kit, or heavily ported stock cylinder as i run.

my jetting on my KOR ported , trinity right bend pipe, uni filter, v-force reeds, no airbox lid .........

floats set to 16-18mm
airscrew around 1-1/2 turns out
48 pilot
"DGH" needle on middle clip
155 main

the correct pilot is determined by how many turns out acheives highest idle and clean revs
it should be between 1/2 and 2-1/2 turns out
under 1/2 turn = leaner pilot (lower #)
over 2-1/2 turns = richer pilot (higher #)

get one of the needles listed above, it is a must have !!!!!

start around 160 main and plug chop to confirm lean/rich,
then go up or down accordingly, my guess is you'll end up in the low to mid 150's for a main jet

thank you very much for the info.
where I can find the needles you tell me?
those that I have is that I sent to the carburetor "Nbrk" "R1469N" "N8RW" and "N84K".

another question what you mean with the floats sep to 16-18 mm?

forget all those mutiple numbered jets, those are usually the bike manufacturers #'s and some don't even cross reference to any genuine keihin #'s

here's where i buy, and who suggested the "dgh" needle to me.............

Carburetor Parts Warehouse

it's best just to call the dude, tell him what you have and that someone suggested the "dgh" needle from him, if he has a different idea for your mods...he'll steer you straight

here's how to check your float level (adjust by slightly bending the center tab)............
