So today I got fed up with the price of nerf bars , so I decided to make some . I made these to fit my blaster , they are larger than standard , I will be running a +5" swinger and +3+1 ASR A Arms . I started out with 2 crusty pieces of 3/4" schedule 40 TNC ( each about 45" long ) heated it up and made 2 bends , wire wheeled the crap off the steel and so far heres what I have . I still have to gusset the corners , and make frame mounts .
I'm gonna prime and paint them black , and use red 1" nylon webbing . Total cost involved , less than 20 bucks . Total weight for the pair , less than 6 lbs .
