Just got a 97 Yamaha YFS 200 Blaster, have to replace carburetor (new). Seems to be stock engine but has DG expansion and silencer. At 700ft and premix fuel mainly summer temps, avg 70-90". Probably stay with stock air box. Please define "Plug Chop". New carb apparently comes with stock jets. Is it even necessary to rejet for the DG exhaust?

The DG pipe usually does not require a jetting change. Premixing your fuel does.

Search for information on plug chop.

Plug chopping gives you an idea of how rich or lean you are running on fuel/air.

Ok, I did, and understand it now. I will have to do it before I know where I stand with the new carb. Thanks
