Any tips on removing the bushing things in the lower stem mount?

Thanks

Wouldn't socket and hammer be used for installing them.

Any ways. I removed the grease nipple and then used a punch and hammer to remove the lower bushing and then the top bushing.

Any one know a place to get replacements from? Or any one got one they can measure up for me. Mine are steel ones and would like to replace them when I install my new stem.

Thanks

Though I have not tried them, they look to be well made. Though they look as if you could make theses.

yeah was thinking the o-ring was a cool idea. :)

I ordered 2 new stock oem ones today and will get measurements off them and might look into making the o-ring type.

Anyone that is looking at replacing the bushes. 2 are needed.

Just a warning. When you install new bushes may have to remove some paint/powder coat off your frame where the bushes sit on. You also may have to machine a little bit off the bushes to make them if. I have to do this on my blaster and I was installing a after market stem also. Check everything goes together and moves nicely. Also lube the o-rings and the shaft part of the stem before installing so you don't cut or take a bit out of the o-rings when you install the stem.
