Help, Thumb throttle goes backwards

Help me please, My thumb throttle is screwed up I can push it backwards and foward it still works but it annoys me.

sounds like the nut has worked loose, inside on top of the thumb shaft
it holds the square end of the thumb lever shaft into the square hole in the inner lever,
the inner lever hitting the stops on both sides is what keeps the thumb lever in it's normal travel.
if it comes loose, it allows the thumb shaft to over rotate either direction
