Help! Blaster won't start!

Okay so I just got a blaster about a month ago that needed work so I put some work into it and had it running, ran decent I thought but when I touched the throttle it would rev the piss out of it and hold even when I let off. Eventually, after trying to set the idle, a reed blew out. So I ordered new reeds and put them in and it won't run for anything. It backfires every few kicks and spits oil out the exhaust. No idea what is going on! Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

compression test?
what work have you done to it?
sounds like airleak
woodruff key has sheared on flywheel
carb is dirty
reeds are not sitting flat on cage.
just for starters

Maybe the crankcase is full of unburnt fuel and oil and needs purging.

With the engine revving with the throttle off and oil coming from the exhaust I would suspect a gear side crankshaft oil seal.
