ok so when i got my blaster the light was gone. i replaced it and now when i start my blaster it runs fine but when i turn on the lights it dies. it also will not start with the lights on.

idk imay just break down and get a new wiring harness. only spent 250 for the quad still got a little cash left over.
under the hood was a mess when i got it. i did the best i could to rewire it but like you guys said i probably did cross some wires somewhere.
if the light does come on as it is dieing then i had the same prob with mine a wile back , i just grounded out the light to the frame. the ground from the harness was the prob idk why. but when i grounded it to the frame it worked fine..
Yep exact same here, had to ground it to the frame not a black wire. Just screw the ground under a bolt and hot to green or yellow. I did whichever is low beam. Also About 65watts is the max the stator will take stock.
the lights dont come on at all but i was looking at the wires last night and i think it is the ground wire.
I'm not 100% sure 65w is just what I read somewhere on the forum but sounds about right. I'm running 2 20w so 40w for me.
I figured it out the problem was that some idiot had wired the light with the kill switch and the tors system and then tucked it back up into the insulation. now i just got to wait till the cylinder gets back from the shop friday to test out my light.
