front disc brake conversion

I bought a complete set of Banshee front disc brakes for my 02 blaster and found out there not direct bolt on.The top ball joint is not threaded. Is drilling out the banshee spindle and putting set screws in place of the pinch bolts a good option. This is my first go round on this forum,hopeing I'm doin this corectly. Thanx.

some guys do that, but i didnt and am not the only one who thinks its unsafe, it doesnt look to leave much "meat" there, and i think i would break it!!!! so heres what i did, costs $$$ but worth every penny, you already came this far, imo, do it right and safe.........................

Well I have done it that way and just about every way you can do it.Although it may seem a little unsafe to some people,and even me at the beginning.It reallly does work well for someone on a tight budget and not really doing alot of jumping.I have a beater blaster here that it is done to and it supports my fat ass all day long.It has worked well for me but I only do trails and beating the dog out of it in the snow.
