Okay, so I have a 2001 blaster and I've put a new inner clutch basket on it. I've tried adjusting the clutch but when I push the clutch in it stiffens up and won't losen up the plates or anything. Any suggestions?

You didn't get the plates aligned properly re disassemble the clutch pressure plate and plates reinstall in corrected order .make sure the ball bearing is in its proper place against the plunger rod ,turn clockwise or counterclockwise until it drops the pressure plate assembly into place,and replace springs to their seating positions and torque to their specified torque see manual for specs. Also check for internally frayed clutch cable
