carb oil feed pipe removal

Okay, my carb is leaking fuel badly, went to remove it yesterday to clean the float bowl etc and the oil feed pipe from the pump looks like it has a crimped fitting with no way to remove it from the carb, or am I wrong?. Do I have to remove it from the pump end? Help/advice very much appreciated. BTW it's a 2002 model (the drum brake version with the seperate headlight)

You must pick the brass ferrule away from the carb and down the line little, you can then pry the pipe off.

It is supposed to be a very tight fit .
