I have a 3mm crank and im thinkin of getin a bbk my question is can i just throw the jug and have the head rework for the crank or do i have to port the jug also for the 3mm
the head isnt the problem they give u a spacer with the crank so u dont have to modify the head the problem is if u dont port the jug the transfer windows dont line up correctly
yes with a stroker kit you need to change the porting.
there will always be some cost for a machine shop, even with just a basic cylinder lift you still need some machining, however with a stock jug and stock crank you can gain 6hp just just raising the cylinder, decking the top of it and leveling the squishband and taking it down .040"
