asbestos?

I have had the drum brakes on my 1999 blaster sitting in my garage torn apart for months, i just thought about the fact that i could be breathing asbestos everyday. Or do these brakes not even have asbestos? what should i do?

no asbestos in 99 they stopped that in the early 80's I think. plus you have to be d isturbing the dust and getting it into the air to be harmful to you. also you have to breath quite a bit of it. so if you were a brake mechanic in 1975 you might have to worry. I think you are ok

yeah they outlawed asbestos a ways back, no worries

yea unless you start cutting into them and making dust they wont bother you
