I bought a Jeep today, 400 bucks.

It's an Aspen addition? I can't find ANY information about Aspen addition Jeeps, anyone have any info on them?

Yep! Engines fine but needs some hoses and break lines.

Looks like a nice score for the money. Can't complain with a jeep for a first vehicle. Looks good bro, congratulations. Now you just need to buy a roll of brake line,fittings,flaring tool,bender and change all the brake lines out. Keep us posted on progress.

Yep, it's gona take some work but its do able. Today was sh*tty so I didn't get to Tare into it. Hopefully tomorrows better.

now lift it, throw some 33's under it, lock it , re gear it, throw a tom woods drive shaft on it and call it good, oh yeah and swap out the grill so you can use circular headlights like most jeeps, the squares are kinda ugly

Whole point of having a YJ is the head lights. Only good circles are CJs.

I've been cheating on BF... with a Jeep forum...

But, carpets out floors are bad, I've got a roll of hard line for the brakes that i have to bend to get my brakes back. I've replaced a pre heater hose, I'm doing a valve cover gasket tomorrow. Exhaust gasket the next day. I'm going at a steady rate.

Tomorrow i'll throw some pictures up.

i don't think its a aspen jeep I googled it, maybe the last guy bought it in aspen and those are dealer badges or something idk maybe im just dumb lol just a thought

On the jeep forum i found out there is a Dealership in RI that deals jeeps, and its called Aspen. So that could be it, but the badge is of a skier so i got the idea it may have been an Aspen Tour Jeep? Because "Aspen" Is painted in the trim those arn't badges. That's the only thing that makes me say the PO didn't do it.

btw a cheaper alternative than buying new brake lines is I believe oem ford ones fit, if your on a tight budget hit up the junkyard. that's what I would do but that's just me. im currently restoring my 71 Plymouth so im having similar problems, rusted floor pans, bad brakes ect...

It was like 21 bucks for 25 feet of hard lines, fittings wont be nuts, and at Advanced Auto Parts as long as you return tools you don't have to pay to rent them. I do, need to look into ford flex lines though, Or extended steel lines. I'd hate to pay for rubber lines only to pay again in a year once i lift it.

Jeeps pretty much done, got brakes done, lines, pads, drums, springs everything. Got a new radiator in there, valve cover and gasket, hard doors and hard top, hoses and more. And still don't hve more than a grand Into this thing yet.

I wish I had the money now to do want I want to do with it. But until then I'm only putting enough money in it to drive it to school work and home. All I have to do now is floor and rust repair on the body, remaining fluids, and plugs and wires.
