    cylinder measuring under 66mm?

thank you flotek...people seem to think that measuring something acurately to the thousandth of an inch is like easy. and even if you do have an amazing set of inside calipers and measure correctly...your still not gonna get a correct answer cuz you will be measuring the very top or bottom...

    compression test, how many kicks?

i think there is your problem...your tryin to suck enough air to fill your cylinder all the way with the throttle barely cracked...retest it with the throttle wide open and i bet you hit 170 within 3-4 kicks

    compression test, how many kicks?

that is kinda strange....i always thought they should max out after like 3 kicks. I dont really see how it can keep building compression. Are you doing it on a cold cylinder? holding the throttle wide open?

Finally some new front shocks! pics inside

Whats up guys...as you probably can see my front suspension is kinda unique...currently I am running 400ex front shocks and they blow basically....more like pogo sticks than shocks. I have the preload maxed out on them and still bottom on big hits and there is almost zero dampening. So i have...

    Free proarmor

everyone wins $10 towards a purchase....you dont win t shirts hoodies or anything...you have to buy stuff. And you dont actually get a gift card, you have to call or email placing an order and then they just basically knock 10 bucks off.

    Would you buy it??

i wouldnt buy that deal....since basically all they do is find old cylinders that have room for the 68mm, bore them out and throw in that piston kit...they have a kit for like 144.99 on there which is the same thing but you send your own jug in...way better deal, and if you dont have one you can...

    Debris in crankcase

To split the cases your gonna need a flywheel puller, an impact wrench (or some type of holder and a breaker bar) and then an understanding of how the whole engine/trans works and is put together cause your gonna have about 100 pieces lol. Its not bad...just a big process. I would say if you...

tool for acuraely measuring cylinder bore?

no offense smoker but if you think holding a tape measure across the top of the cylinder is remotely close to accurate your wrong...people measure cylinders to determine bore sizes...which are in 20 thou increments...so you need to be accurate to at least 10 thousandths....if you can read a tape...

tool for acuraely measuring cylinder bore?

an quality accurate BORE gauge is pricy like 100+ bucks...and it sadly is the only way to measure your bore accurately. Calipers are not the way to go for this kind of measuring since it is impossible to measure anywhere but pretty much the top and bottom rims and even then you dont know if...

Got a question on crank seal install

yeah i think that is normal..the pressure from the bolt locks the collar to the inside of the bearing to the crank...did you lube the inside sealing surface of the new seal? that is good that the seal is tight on the collar that means no leaks...my guess is it is just dry and causing a little...
