Naw I ripped my old clutch cover gasket and just use yamabond on it rather than buying a new gasket lol. I already have the yamabond and didnt want to wait a few days for it.

Id spray a lil PB Blaster on them. Mine were perty rusty and after I sprayed them, they broke easily. One time I had to take a pair of Vise Grips and get em off. Not recommended but it worked!

Let me know if a new clutch works for you as my blaster is doing the same exact thing and Im puzzled as to what it is. I just havent had the time to mess with it anymore as I have the cover off many times and Im running out of Yamabond! That stuffs $13 a tube at my local shop lol

Those shift drums or barrels with the star wheels on them like to break under the star wheel. I had 3 break on me. They will shift the trans but only so far b/c there is so much play in the wheel that its just moving past the broken part. IIRC, its only aluminum.

Maybe not but what I really want to do is trade the whole motor off plus some cash and get a running motor than stick another few hundred in this one and it still not move.... Im to the point that I wanna stick a rag in the gas tank and light it on fire....

Everything that is supposed to go into the clutch is there. It just dies when I let the clutch out. I've had the cover off many many times and tried to mess with it and get nothing. I've run out of patience, time and money on it....

The adjustment is now right. Clutch is in correct. Everythings tight. Still will NOT move. No, I am not giving up quickly, I been trying to get it moving for about 2 months now with 0 success and a whole tube of Yamabond just about gone. Everything has been by the manual.

I have no clue whats wrong with it, Im just tired of messing with it so Im just selling the damn thing. Thanks for all the help.

yea I got the dots lined up and when I pull the clutch and drop it into gear then release the clutch, I can feel it grab some and over like 2 secs w/o me gassing it, it will putter and die. Before I had all the steel nubs pointed up and it chattered, moved me some then died. I restacked them...

Ok ever since I put this engine together, I have been having a clutch issue in which I HOPE its a clutch lol. But I didnt stack the steel plates right b/c of the nubs and I restacked them right as per the video. I resealed it all back up and filled it with the yamalube I have and it goes in gear...

My electronics are stripped down on my bike. I just added a on/off switch between my coil with extra spade connectors. I reach down and behind my leg to switch it off. I just drilled a hole in my plastic and mounted it up. Kinda tougher to do a plug chop now but meh only do one every so often!

I have some old parts at work that have them and are 3/16". I snagged about 6 of them last month. I have probably about 10 left. Ill have to see tomorrow.

+1 on this. I broke my stator plate in a non crucial area and split a wire! Though Im thinking my stator may be my whole issue with my blasty..... Rebuilding a bottom end isnt too bad if you have mechanical knowledge of small engines of some sorts AND a manual to help with torques and stuff...

Compressions good at 121 psi. Imma see if new reeds help tomorrow after work hopefully if the shop has some.

I actually have taken the carb off and cleaned it up. I used compressed air and blew thru all passages. I also deleted the oil injection and run 32:1 premix Amsoil Interceptor. I have the 4th thru the 8th off so Ill have plenty off time to look more into this.
