I hope the bike is done, I kinda want to see it first hand after following along in the build thread.
If it's not done I will be bringing it to finish at power line lol
looks like powerline park is on the wrong side of ohio for me. Damn, no blaster fellows near me
Still on my hunt for a 250R. Someone about an hour away put one of CL for $2100. Its not really nice but runs and plastics look decent. Has some crazy blue frame and red motor but color ain't a big deal for me since I can powder coat now. Says its had motor work but doesn't remember what the guy before him said. Says its gotta run 93 octane or better so I'm thinking head mod and he said it was bored as well. I offered $1800 and he said he'd think about it! Way to give a guy blue balls! I think any 250R that runs and isn't a total hack job is worth $1800. I'll probably get it if he accepts
where is the right side of Ohio!? Oh, thats where powerline is lol. Are you in Ohio? Im in the Akron Canton area and its still like a 2 hour drive for me. Prolly longer for awk!
Be aware that they have issues of the frame cracking, look closely for welds or ground off welds.
Yep, I've heard that before. Should I steer clear from any that have welds no matter how pretty the welds look?

What do you think? Not nearly as clean as the other I was looking at but I can powder coat for like $15 and with about $1000 dollars I could get new plastics if I wanted, dig through the motor a little and send to ken for port and head, remove that dumb twist throttle, probably sell those ss wheels and get real aluminum ones, and have a little left over for unexpected things and have a really nice looking and running 250R. Might go get it tonight, my buddy is more excited than I am lol. So what you guys think? I'd still keep the blaster for the lady and maybe when my girl grows up. In my eyes, a running 250R that isn't a complete hack job is worth at least $2000

Bummer told me last night it's 6 hours for him from Rochester NY.
so I got a question. The pipe on this 250r is a sparks mx pipe and is apparently THE pipe to have on a 250r but mine is cracked real bad near one of the mounts and causing a severe exhaust leak. I can have it welded at work but I wanted to know if there is anything special about welding pipe? What about the potential flammable residue left behind in the pipe? Do I have to clean the pipe before it gets welded? If so, how? Surely one of you guys have welded a pipe before
