Is the vitos head any better than a stock head,on a 67 mm bore.I bought some parts from a guy including a blown vitos bbk. The head looks different than a stock head. I'm running a vitos now,and am trying to put together a spare topend . anyone run a vitos head on a stock size engine,what would it do for power.

are you talking about the hemi head? the head that comes with a bbk is basically the same as a stock other than being for a larger bore. send your stock head off and have it modified for more performance.

Ihave a stock head and a vito's head. the area around the plug in the vitos head looks opened up,and i think its the squish band looks flatter andthe head gasket area looks milled down compared to the stock head.

did you buy the vitos head new? maybe it has been modified aleady?? i know i had my vitos head modifed and it was a difference than the way it came if that helps...

No it came in a box of parts that included a blown vitos bbk. As far as the guy i bought the parts from knows it's stock vitos. Dad is going to send a head to ken oconners for me but wanted me to find out about this one first.

if the vito's head is one for a big bore, it won't work on the stock bore motor

It's off of a big bore cylinder. why won't it work on a stock bore?

because the bolt holes are different and the head gasket will leak

the bolt holes are the same, because both heads will set over the studs on the cylinder. i'm pretty sure its a vitos cylinder, its ports look different and has 2 little ports on each side of the exhaust and is a 72mm bore. The head is wider where the head gasket sets on the stock head.
