Top End? or maybe just carb adjustments?

Just bought a 2000 Blaster with these mods:

  • V force reeds
  • Wiseco top and bottom end
  • Full fmf gold exhaust
Brought it home ran great, buddy adjusted the idle a little bit but he messed with the air/fuel screw a bit too.

Still ran great.

Next day, rip in the morning all good, then in the afternoon it starts popping.

I drive it around, not too hard but maybe more than I should have. Then it wont start. Pull the plug, it's fouled like a lean plug.

I replaced it, messed with the screws a bunch, got the popping noise very very faint drove it up/down the driveway, in third gear the engine shut off rear-end seized and skidded to a stop. Wouldn't start.

This morning, no start till I replaced the plug. Got it going (after a while), still popping slightly, they seem to come and go with a little fuel and/or time.

And now it wont stay @ idle without a bit of throttle....

Oh ya, also the air filter was cocked off. Ie, was only on half the intake when i looked in there.

This bike definitely needs some tlc
