Do you have to use a oil block off kit ?

I'm still running the sock oil injection setup. Do I have to use the block off kit. Or can I just mix my own gas and just not fill up the oil tank.

well if u remove the plastic gear from the oil pump and then u can premix
but u don't just want to premix

the best bet to be safe is the block off kit

Thats the DIY,cant just premix without removing the gear and filling the hole to the carb

dont be lazy do it right the first time and dont look back

cause the plastic gear is the reason the oil injection fail and blows up the top end
the gear will wear out break and then go into the motor and just mess everything up
just do the diy like stated before and save urself the hassle and money of a rebuilt
im just trying to help u out here

ok thank you for the info. I wanted to know if it would hurt the motor or not. Now that I know I will get the kit.

I spent a few hours tonight doing the DIY block off. Everything is done except the plate to block where the pump used to be. I fabricated my own plate and it seems like it will work fine. To any vets...Is it ok to use steel?
