I'm upgrading to 05' hydro brakes , pulling off all the old drum brake set up , are the spindles the same? they look similar , are they worth keeping?

They are different. The '05s have mounts for the calipers and the thrust from the bearing stack is taken by a shoulder on the axle. I doubt you will ever be going back to drums after the conversion. I do know a guy who might want to take the old spindles off your hands
