03-06 RPM Axle on a 1988 blaster

so i picked up a rpm axle but it's for a 03-06 blaster. do i have to change the bearing carrier to an 03 or newer? or can i just use what i have. i will be putting a hydro rear brake from a dvx400. any help would be great.

you will need the brake hub off a shee.. you will also need to mount the master cylinder to the frame and weld a tab on the pedal to connect to the master. if you want to get a 03+ carrier then you can just bolt on a shee caliper or make a bracket and put whatever caliper you want on it.

do i just need the shee hub or do i need the disk also?

You can still use the 88-02 caliper with that setup.As 305 stated you need a shee brake hub or a 03-06 blaster brake hub(both are the same).All other parts from the blaster will swap directly over.Here is a link to another member who did this using the shee axle.Good luck. http://www.blasterforum.com/suspension-14/my-banshee-axle-install-10893/

Missed the part where you said you are going to use a dvx400 rear caliper.In that case just make a bracket for the caliper so it can mount up to the 88-02 carrier.And you deffinately need to weld tabs on for the master,resorvoir and most likely a rear brake pedal extension.
