So I just got an 02 and I'm not that good with 2 strokes, I'm used to 4 strokes. The guy i bought it from said that its bored .30 over and it has full fmf exhaust. everything else is pretty stock. Can anyone give me a hand putting me in the right ball park with jets, needle clip, and mixture screw. I'm in PA at 1000 ft elevation. I'm just not really sure where I should be at. It still has the tors on top but its unpluged and when i start it, it doesn't want to stay idling and when you hit the gas its delayed a little and revs up and takes a while to idle back down. Please give me some thoughts

start airscrew at 1 1/2 turns out the needle should start in the middle but u should sdjust it fromt there. for jets it sounds like u may be lean?? but cant say that from here the delay and highiddle could be anything. but id say clean out the carb and start with a 280 or 270 just and check from there.

where at in PA are ya ???

you should be just fine with the stock 32.5 pilot, airscrew around 1.5 turns out, needle in the middle clip position and around a 270 main jet
check your float height too...20-21.5mms before doing any jetting

heres some reading to do that'll get ya started with jetting your bike ..........

I'm near mount carmel, And ya i've been reading about how you have to adjust the floats and i've never done that but when i first put gas in it, it sometimes runs out of the over flow until i start it but once it runs for a lil it stops. I was thinking the little needle valve for the float. but i cleaned the carb out twice pretty good.
