well, i split the case to find out a rod has been thrown in this motor previously and they jb welded the left engine casing... what a cheap way out. i belive my air leak was caused from this jb weld not sealing the stator side and the stator side cranks seal being worn out and suckin air... glad...

yeah done a compression check and it is where it needs to be and it is a white smoke... i actually have a tech looking at it now... thinking of some cheap mods to do to it to make a little more power... and i am from fayetteville but i bought it off a guy from wilmington....

ok cool but if the woodruff key was sheared then it prolly wouldnt start at all right??? and it did run the other day for about 25 minutes and then bam that was it foul plug after foul plug... hate to pick your brains too much but i really like this blasty and would definitely like to get it...

thats what i was thinking. it does have spark but i cannot tell if it is a good spark or a bad spark i assume it is good. i will check the stator in the morning... what should i look for in a worn stator???

also the air idle screw is st to 1 and 1/2 and the airbox lid is off with a k&n air filter.

cleaned and had alot of time to do it so it was done right. not a newbie mechanic just not alot of experience with these two strokes. and yes i am premixing 32:1 i am in nc

So I have sold my cbr1000rr and once again have purchased a very clean 2001 blaster. has full fmf exhaust, bored .30 over, i have rebuilt the carb, replaced reeds, replaced piston rings... my blasty will start up on choke only for a couple of seconds then completely foul the plug. it is wet...
