    Question about Keihin carb sizes

I've run a 35 pwk on my stock ported motor for two seasons now, no problems...

? for those that use 33-35mm carbs on their Blasters

Don't buy a kit, it's a waste of money. Just buy a range of individual mains and a couple pilots. Either Jetsrus.com or your local dealer if thier prices aren't insane. My dealer has Keihin mains for like 3 bucks a piece and pilots for about 5. Right now with the 35 pwk I have a 42 pilot...

? for those that use 33-35mm carbs on their Blasters

Mods in my sig. I run a 35 pwk A/S on a stock/stroked/ported cylinder. The 35 might be a tad big if you're looking for low end power, my blasty is all mid/top and requires a bit of clutch work to stay in the power. I've run 34-36 PJ's on other machines and I don't like them. They're much...

    craptastic xmas

Tecate flywheels are junk. They blow up all the time. If you can afford it, upgrade to a pvl ignition setup. Even the aftermarket flywheels like the ricky stators are junk.

    Banshee owners trash talking blasters

Between my LTR, Blaster, and Tecate 3, I enjoy riding the blaster the most. 9 times out of 10 I push the other two out of the way to grab the blasty. Although the T3 is a close second.

blaster with tecate engine- 800 bucks

Tecate 3 motors aren't counterbalanced, don't think that would be a very fun ride in a little blaster frame... If it was closer, I'd buy it for the motor.

atc 250r wasn't made any newer than '86. You want a trx 250r shock.

    helmet cam anybody use one?

I second the HD go pro. Here's a sample of what I've recorded with it: Remember to set it to 1080p You can't beat the value of it and it works as described. Although, if your computer is on the slow side, you may want to get the regular go pro. Editing HD video is very demanding on a pc.

snapped oil release bolt. need help.

If the head is snapped flush your best bet is to drill and tap. Is it just a drain bolt, or is the filter part of the bolt?

snapped oil release bolt. need help.

Be very careful with easy outs though, they are hardened steel, if it breaks off in the bolt, you are pretty much screwed.

well i got a cool offer for my blaster today while riden the tecate

The vibration isn't because of an atc motor. The trx and atc motors are both counterbalanced. If it's a water pumper, the motors are the same.

blaster and trx250r for 88 tecate great condition and a 87 that needs work

So much tecate hate.... :( If you want to have a rider, keep your R. If this tecate is in as nice a shape as you say, you could make a buck off it. They can pull in some good money if it's in good to great condition.

    dirtwheels 450 MX shootout

I think it would have been better if they spent whatever needed to be spent on each model to get it up to race standards, then tally up the totals spent for each machine. That way you could see how much money needed to be spent for each individual machine to get it up to snuff. If you're in...

    dirtwheels 450 MX shootout

I understand that, but the choice of mods that were done to each machine were radically different from eachother. How can you compare a motor that has had cams, port work, and head work along with a pipe and intake to a motor that recieves only a pipe? Or a stock clutch to a $1400 slipper...

    dirtwheels 450 MX shootout

I'm not sure what this shootout proves. Why wouldn't they do a stock to stock shootout or if they wanted to do the mx shootout, at least they could have kept the mods similar between each model. Some recieved motor work, some got clutches, others just got a pipe, etc...apples to oranges...

    Cylinder Porting DIY

As I understand it, you do NOT want a mirror finish on the intake, only the exhaust. I've heard that a rough surface on the intake helps to atomize the fuel mixture. I would assume the same would be true for the transfer ports. BTW, this may be my favorite thread on BF. Thanks Ken.
