Ok I attached a photo of my leak down tester. I will try test the motor this coming weekend. What is a good pressure to test the motor at? I read on the forum that you should test to 15psi(1bar)? Can I test up to say 3bar or is that to high? Can I cause damage with a leak down test at 3bar?

Hey Blaner I have not advanced the timing, the guy that built my motor advised against it because of the skimmed head. Will check the jetting first thing tomorrow. Dont want to destroy my motor just yet. Will check the links now thanks!

I did not re-jet. Did not think that that sort of temp difference would effect it so much. When I lasted did a plug chop it was 35deg plus. What about the water on the fins? Thanks for the input!

Hey got my trx400 shock on Wednesday and my mechanist friend finished the spacer bushes today! Tomorrow night I will pop the shock in and on Saturday will be testing it! :)

I can’t really say how they feel because I have only tested in my driveway. I have transport problems at the moment but I hope to give them a proper test next weekend. My initial impression is that the are going to be sick! Can’t wait! :D

New 450 shocks on the quad!

Hey found some YFZ450 shocks! Cost me R1000, +- $123 Will be popping them on the blaster next weekend. The weekend after that I hope to have my TRX400 shock and will put that on as well. Cant wait to see the improvement I:I Just going to test them out, then pop of the coils and get them...

I want to put the Honda TRX shock in my blaster. Everybody uses the trx400 shock but is there a difference between the 450 and 400. I am asking because I can get hold of a 450 shock. Are the springs and eye to eye length the same? I would guess that the trx450 shock is a stiffer shock. Any info...
