Looks like an oil injection tube. 1 comes from the oil tank to the pump on the right side of the engine & 1 goes from the pump to the carb. I presume you disabled the pump and mix your fuel/oil since you got the new carb. Picture here might help. Thread 'Oil line hook-up to carb'...
