My Yamaha blaster 200 has a gearbox problem, when first started it will go into first gear then going into second it is very sticky, it is the same with sixth gear too, when warm you have to take of in second as it wont go into first gear, this quad leaks a lot of oil overnight through seals, I am currently thinking of purchasing a whole engine and gearbox for the quad, any suggestions on what is wrong?

It sounds scary, but maybe try tearing the engine apart, buying new gaskets and seals, and look through the gearbox at every gear, maybe even look at a diagram of it. Buying a whole new engine is probably the last thing I’d do.
More than likely it's a shift shaft/pawl or shift star problem, both easily fixable with new/used parts, just under the clutch cover without opening the cases to the trans

Yes, the gearbox was burst before which is probably something to do with it, It was patched up and leaking out through it
