I don't think that's the case. Maybe you just like the low end grunt of a fourstroke. A stock 250r came with 39.8 HP, stamped on the certificate of origin from the factory in Japan. A stock YFZ450 has about 41 HP dynoyzf450stock

So what is your current set up? I forgot after I had to read through that porting biotch slap fight. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend the '88-'89 swingarm on an 86 frame. The motor mounts are different. On an 86 the mounts go through the swing arm, you'd have to fabricate some mounts if you switched...

They aren't made for a blaster. So no. It would be a waste of 20 dollars. Keep saving and get some used aftermarket shocks that were actually made for the geometry of a Yamaha Blaster.

Yep Service Honda, been doin it for a while now. CR250 engine in a 400ex frame. The rears are fullbores and the fronts are maier one piece. Took a little engineering to get the quadtech hood on there but I think it looks pretty good. I'm hoping to get the stock 88 style plastics from Maier...
