I suggest a manual... there is one in the stickys here somewhere... there is lots of stuff in the DIY here... thats how I have figured out my mods... but I also have a background in building race bikes... I suggest if you dont know and are not 100% confident in what you need to do then...

I found a set of LED lights... 3W each... they are 3 1/2" and have a nice output... I only ride until dusk... so I dont need a super amount of light output

what do you mean? i took the blaster out before i bought it... needs a carb clean... but beyond that it doesnt touch my raptor... do you mean that is still a lot of bike for a beginner?

Once the bike is together and the weather is warm i will get her to pose with the bike for some pics. UPDATE: its about 2 degrees above freezing here today... I have the rims cleaned and ready to bolt on, pulled out the fairings... probably worse off than i though... plan tomorrow...

Thanks for the comments guys!! I know its not and will never be like some of the Blasters you guys have... but its something for the girlfriend to ride around on and learn on. Im a power freak myself... looking at stuffing an R1 engine into my 2003 660R over the winter.
