can anyone reccomend a pipe which gives good bottom and mid power

cutting and welding seems like a colossal waste of time for a stock pipe i guess its off to Ebay and ask the wife for a loan

I had to pull the head off of my blasty today because the base gasket was leaking but while i had the pipe off which is stock i could hear something metallic rattling around inside but it wont shake out. Has anyone else seen or heard this before

the plan was to double them up and at least pack them with graphite or moly grease to lubricate but i like the hollow bolt idea with a grease zerk im gonna look into that you usually cant find any metric specialty bolts at the hardware store but i save that kind of stuff at work maybe i have...

thanks i was thinking of the dual gauge tester that scews into the spark plug hole this makes much more sense

okay makes sense but thats why i ask before doing sometimes a good idea on paper isnt as good in practice

yes the aluminum is still softer than the steel chain but they shouldnt wear away it may be noisey but i can live with that if im about to screw up please let me know

i have these anodised aluminum bushings that i drilled out to fit the boss on the frame for chain rollers tell me what you think

I dont know about the quads but i have an RK o-ring chain on my cb750 and over 2000 miles later i have not had to adjust it at all just make sure to use good chain lube the drag is noticable backing up but the longivety is well worth the small amount of drag

i have a leakdown tester at work what exacty am i looking for while leakdown testing this engine i usually only use it at work to check for bad valves or rings also here are the pics of my two hondas 1971 sl175k1 and my 1977 cb750f cafe racer
