a pvl ignition is great if you know how to set the timing....many ppl are fast cut the pvl down because of that. its really not hard at all, you need a dial gauge that screws in the sparkplug hole and then you set it to fire at X degrees before top dead center. i use these ignitions on drag...

the 12 ports consist of-----5 intake ports,2 transfers on each side X2, and triple exhaust ports......5 intake+4 transfer+3 exhaust= 12 ports. most sleeves are not going to have triple exhaust and the 2 extra intake ports(boost ports) can be machined into any jug(carefully). are you re-sleeving...

how about back firing tho? and what exactly is happening to the reeds(not the credit card ones because those wont last) are the cracking off, chipping, warping? any pics of the damaged ones may help.

does ur bike back fire ever? and are you using the stock reed stops because with both vitos and boyesen ur not supposed to use them

BR9ES is a cooler heat range then BR8ES,and that plug looks lean, greyish looking to me, the try getting a dgh needle as well

i wouldnt put too much faith in that chart, #17 and higher are all lean plugs and they have them listed as "best" or "good". you could drop ur main a little but you gotta take in to account that the blaster is air cooled and the longer you run it the hotter it will get, now i dont know how long...

whats your jetting? and are you doing wide open throttle plug chops? i think your rich but answering those 2 questions will narrow it down

all vitos cranks come with seals now, just got a another 4mm(banshee) came with seals. how far was the crank off before oconner had it?

that jet kit is for a stock 26mm mukini carb. yes the main jets would work but the pilot and needle would not. i also suspect an air leak was the killer, craming a 38mm carb into a 35 intake,head gasket, crank seal, reed gasket are all places that could be leaking.

how much did you pay the "professionals" that jetted your bike lean?

I have a Mikuni 38mm carb on their so running lean shouldn't be possible especially because I jetted somewhat high knowing OBVIOUSLY that it is better to run rich than lean OBVIOUSLY running a 38mm carb will solve all your jetting problems,even tho your last sentence states "Sorry guys I will...
