Appreciate the response. There was no pin at all. It broke off. I spent the better part of the week trying to identify the carb and have found the exact replacement for around $175 - which is not bad but upgrades are available at a better price point and I just want to buy some time to research...

So - I saw this thread and then checked the date. To my surprise it is current! I have the same problem. Am trying to identify this carb. I have the exact same as pictured (with stamping on it). The guide pin in the throat for the slide fell off after a ride and the throttle stuck open. Trying...
