My 1st Blaster

also the wave brake discs, any reason to have them over OEM? been looking at them and I keep seeing different opinions. Some people say they eat the pads really fast, others say they have improved braking. What gives?
I can't say for a fact because I never had one but I'd say for the people saying that they eat up pads faster, that's probably because it's got better braking. A rotor that has more bite, it would make since for it to wear pads faster. Either that or maybe they didn't have good pads put on and they wore faster. Just my thoughts.

I would guess that brake pad quality has a lot to do with the life of the pads when having wave rotors.

Got package today. :)

I will get some photos and let you all know how it goes.

nice stuff mark !

this may not apply to you mark, as you're into a full rebuild, and fuel tank is usually one of the last parts to be installed.
but for anyone else seeing this.....#1 thru #4 in those directions - shut off gas to remove fuel tank
there is no rhyme or reason any of that needs done to replace a steering stem block

Got into the shed today and attacked my blaster with a disc off disc. :)

Headlight / CDI / voltage regulator mount and front fender mounts need to go.

Now to work out a pace for the CDI box and make a bracket for it.

Got a package today. :) Yippy my front end is here. But they sent the wrong tie rods. :( I asked to have the 10mm stock tie rods upgraded to the 12mm MX PRO Chromoly Racing Tie Rods & Ends. Have contacted them about it.

Photos of nice new parts.

Started drawing up my CDI bracket and A arm skid plates.

How do those upper a-arms attach to the frame?

Nevermind, I see the 4 extra heim joints. The tubes must be threaded?
