YZ 250 engine swap

The motor on my 2000 Blaster recently messed up and I had heard of some people swapping the motor with one out of a YZ250 dirt bike. I was wanting to know if that would require much if any frame mods or like different mounts or anything like that.

i know for the yz 490 you have to change the mounts but it wasnt hard at all.

so even with an engine that big in a Blaster the mounts were all that had to be modified?

ya and i had to nip a little peice off the swingarm to make the gap where the motor sits a little wider. and i put some spacers under the gast tank to raise it a bit. but there was nothing major that had to be done.

that is awesome I think I am going to try and do that. Any idea where I might be able to find a motor at a decent price?

awsome oh ya the major thing you have to do is make an exhaust

so the motor mounts are the same on the 490 engine and the blaster??
